I was singing since I was a little girl in Vancouver. Especially fond of listening to my mother
and grandmother's 45s, 33s as well as creating my own radio plays with neighbourhood buddies,
I have been working with sound for a long time. My influences range from my mother's
favourites: Fleetwood Mac, Bonnie Raitt, Van Morrison, as well as old classics, like Fats Waller,
Oscar Peterson, Ella Fitzgerald etc... My father used to play guitar to me and my little brother,
making up tunes in his folksy, flatpicking style.

This album is a journey through time, with its ups and downs. Life wasn't easy,
I was singing the blues really..raising two little kids on my own, putting myself through school,
etc...this is the product of that time.

I want to thank all the people that helped me to get to this place, all the people that inspired me,
said a kind word. Believed in me. I want to especially thank my family because
without you, life wouldn't be so sweet.
