More high-tech video equipment: an umbrella lined with reflective material, a halogen light, an old metal easel, and some velcrow..oh ya and i actually crawled into my attic to attach the easel with chains and wall anchors. This was my no-budget solution for my first music video. I recorded onto an old 6400 Mac with 15 ft RCA cords, connected to my Hi8 camera(which couldn't record anymore, but worked ok as video thru to the computer). Those old computers were soooo slooooow but they had audio RCA in/outs, video card and a lot of spunk left. I did all my editing and recording on that machine. When I was editing it, I had to walk away from the computer, go have some tea, or play with the kids, and let it update the screen whenever I moved the footage at all. The animation was all done in Photoshop, as individual images exported, then imported and put together in Director of all things, and then finally composited with the original in Avid free. I just used what was on my computer(single moms don't have big budgets for videos). I had to record about a minute at a time, because the computer couldn't do more than that.
